I want to get this post up quickly, because Bite Beauty’s Best Bite Rewind holiday gift set is already sold out online at Sephora. My local brick and mortars still have lots of them, so hopefully yours does too! This set of four Mini Matte Crème Lip Crayons is a *natural beauty lover’s dream. They outperform any other pigmented lipstick I have tried, whether it be natural or otherwise. They are hydrating, intense in color and feel great on the lips. If you typically shy away from matte lipstick, don’t let this set scare you off, they have more of a satin finish and are not drying.
Cafe is my favorite as it’s difficult for me to find a nude that looks good on me. Having dark hair and an olive complexion, many nudes make me look sallow. This one however, has enough pink in it to balance out the brown, while not being your typical pinky-nude. Torte is a classic rosy-brown color and Coulis is a beautiful neutral red that leans cool, rather than orange. I find Coulis to be a very wearable red, and I’m not big on red. Aubergine is the one I will use the least since I don’t normally go for a dramatic lip, but it’s still so pretty, and really festive. On me, it’s a deep cool plum that, like all of these colors, would compliment most skin tones.
As for scent, these smell a bit like Lemonheads, but that dissipates quickly, and I am not able to detect any flavor. The ingredient list for the Matte Crème Lip Crayons include organic castor oil, organic beeswax, organic sunflower seed oil and organic grape seed extract. All of the other ingredients are natural, save for a few non-natural dyes and possibly “flavor”.
